History of Maple Grove

Maple Grove Cemetery, established in 1875 as a rural cemetery, is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian oasis located at 83-15 Kew Gardens Road, in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York.   Referred to as “a haven of peace and beauty within a great city”, Maple Grove blends harmoniously the old and new concepts of cemeteries—thus making it a place of spiritual peace and restfulness. Today, Maple Grove serves the needs of the community with a family-like appeal and remains as a rural type cemetery in the middle of a very urban area in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York.
